Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of DJPI — the software that turns a Raspberry Pi into a standalone DJ system — and the optional Complete Kit hardware, sold by DJPIthrough djpi.app. By buying or using DJPI, you agree to these Terms.
Last updated: 19 June 2026
1. The product
DJPI is licensed software (and, with the Complete Kit, the accompanying hardware) that you install and run on a Raspberry Pi to mix music with a supported DJ controller. We may update, improve or change features over time.
2. Your license
- Each license key grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to run DJPI on one (1) Raspberry Pi at a time.
- A license is bound to the Pi’s hardware serial on first activation. You can deactivate it from one Pi and move it to another via your dashboard.
- You may not resell, sublicense, rent, share or publish your license key, nor circumvent, reverse-engineer or tamper with the license verification mechanism.
- We may revoke a license used in breach of these Terms or obtained fraudulently (for example, via a chargeback).
3. Accounts
We create an account for you so you can manage your license. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details and license key secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorised use.
4. Complete Kit (hardware)
The Complete Kit ships a Raspberry Pi with a pre-flashed SD card and a license. Hardware is sold “as is” aside from any non-excludable statutory guarantees. Risk passes to you on delivery. DJPI is not affiliated with Raspberry Pi Ltd, Pioneer DJ, Native Instruments, Hercules or any controller manufacturer; trademarks belong to their respective owners.
5. No refunds — all sales are final
All purchases of DJPI software licenses and Complete Kits are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, credits or cancellations once an order is placed.
- Digital licenses: DJPI is digital content delivered immediately. By completing your purchase you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose any right of withdrawal once the license key has been issued, as permitted under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)) and Greek implementing law.
- Complete Kit: because each kit is pre-configured and its SD card pre-flashed with a license uniquely tied to your order, it is supplied to your specifications and is likewise non-refundable.
- We do not provide refunds for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, incompatible or unsupported controllers, or failure to read the product requirements before buying.
This clause does not purport to exclude rights that cannot be waived under mandatory consumer law. Where a product is genuinely defective, your statutory legal-guarantee rights remain unaffected — please contact us at [email protected] and we will repair or replace as required by law. Outside those mandatory rights, no refunds are given.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use DJPI to:
- break any law or infringe anyone’s intellectual property;
- distribute malware or disrupt our systems or the license service;
- attempt to defeat licensing, activation limits or access controls.
7. Intellectual property
DJPI, its branding, logos and software are owned by DJPI or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant you a license to use the product, not ownership of it. DJPI builds on open-source components (such as Mixxx) under their own licenses.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Except for non-excludable statutory guarantees, DJPI is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every controller or accessory.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DJPI is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to DJPI is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Greek or EU law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use DJPI ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5, 7, 8 and 9) continue to apply.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable EU law. The courts of Greece have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published at djpi.appwhen you make a purchase, identified by the “Last updated” date above.
